The career that interests me most would probably be the biomedical patent attorney. This career not only gives me medical exposure but also offers me a legal profession, which in previous blogs I commented upon. Being part of more the economical side of medicine would definitely have more risks than other areas of medicine, do you think that being an enterpriser has more rewards than risks?

Classified as an enterpriser, I feel that I would do well in the field of a medical patent attorney as I my two career choices are medical or law, and this career would potentially combine both. I think that it would be fun to manage certain sectors of the medical field, however I also want a first hand experience at practicing medicine. Many of the occupations listed under the category "Enterprisers" are high level positions meaning that prior experience is required.

One of my highest scores was in enterprisers, however this is not the field I'm interested in. I consider myself more of a doer in terms of a medical profession. Just because I don't like to build furniture or set up a sound system doesn't mean I'm incapable of doing work. It's the topic that doesn't hold my interest, not the activity.Though I see the importance of this field, this is not where I see myself going.

I feel that for the positions listed, an enterpriser would be part of a bigger company such as a hospital or practice, with the exception of those who own their own practices. It does seem that risk would play a prevelant role in an enterpriser position, but because an enterpriser would be trained for their specific job, they would know how to manage the risk. I feel that enterpriser level positions require experience and responsibility. Are we required to have experience if we are considered "natural enterprisers?"

Seeing myself identified as “Enterpriser” really doesn’t surprise me. I’m in student government and hold leadership roles in many other activities. I’m kind-of a responsibility junkie. I’ve been interested becoming a hospital administrator for awhile, but the other careers seem disconnected and uninteresting.
I was tied with my scores on “Artist” and “Doer” as well.

Aaron, I agree that this is more of a corporate side of medicine that often gets ignored. This field is like Cuddy, for any House fans out there. I'm more of a Thirteen than anything, I really like the idea of being involved with patients as a caretaker rather than an administrator.

i think even if you are considered a "natural enterpriser" you will still need some experience in the position you decide to choose. If anything you will just become more advanced in your field of choice. i like being selected to be trained for a specific job.
